Mommy’s MILF Mission Mondays – Week 5

Howdy, friends!

This week seemed to fly right by!

Week 5 of the Tone It Up! Bikini Series is officially wrapped.

I did every single work out, and then some.  The workouts are starting to feel a lot easier than they did when I started, and I’m noticing some muscle definition ready to peak through.

I’ve lost another 2.5lbs and about 4 more inches from my body.

Even though I’m super happy to see the numbers decrease, I’m annoyed that I’m still struggling so much to keep my nutrition in line.  It’s a lot rougher than I’d imagined it would be.  Even with meal prepping it’s difficult because I can’t exactly eat on a schedule because the babe is my priority, and some days I’ll go hours without even thinking of food because I’m so busy with her.  Then I’m starving by the time I have a moment to eat and I’ll eat too quickly.  And too much at once.  I’m trying my hardest and want to focus on honing the nutrition in the last three weeks of the challenge.

My results would be quicker if I could eat at specific times to fire up my metabolism, but I’m not really in a rush anyway, so I have to do what works with my lifestyle, even if that means some days I eat lunch and dinner together…  Slow progress is better than no progress at all, right?! 😉

I notice my body appearing smaller, but the best changes are my attitude and confidence.  I’ve felt more social lately, now that I’m not overtired from a surplus amount of starchy carbs.  (Although there may have been an incident with some mashed potatoes this week.)

The best part is having more energy to keep up with Chunkz.  She is really on the move these days and I’m about a week late on baby-proofing the house a little more, but it’s on the list.

Dakota is in my dust regarding our friendly weight-loss competition.  I’m no longer the biggest member of the family, and I plan on keeping it that way!  He has a slight disadvantage because he eats whatever I give him.  The only reason I’ve been feeding him pastas and red meat is because he thinks I’m trying to kill him if I give him healthy meals.

So basically I’ve given in because I’d rather him eat the food and complain about it, than complain about it and not eat it.  He’s a stubborn ass man, so he’s lucky I feed him anything 😛

I finally made a doctor appointment regarding my bum knee.  Hopefully it isn’t anything too serious, but the IBprofin really isn’t cutting it anymore.

Three weeks.  Only three more weeks of the Bikini Series!  I don’t want it to be over. I feel like I’m just now getting in a groove with it.  I’m super new to the Tone It Up! Community, so I’m not sure what challenge is after this, but I definitely plan on continuing to participate with their programs.  The support has really made all the difference.

I want to finish by saying “Thank you” to all of the people who have served our country in the past, present and future.  It’s because of these brave heroes I’m able to safely sit on my porch and blog about something as mundane as losing baby weight.

So, thank you.  You da real MVPs!

Happy Memorial Day!
